Our client is seeking a talented PHP Architect to join them on a
fulltime basis, at their Pittsburgh PA corporate office.  You as the
PHP Architect will be taking knowledge from existing software
developers and looking at existing architecture and re-architecting a
combined solution for the corporation.  You will layout and implement
the software and system architecture for the companies websites -
combining independent sites under one architecture, create a code
library and  a code re-use best practices, migrate legacy code to the
new CakePHP based framework, handle localization of projects and
internationalization project needs in general





We are seeking someone with the following skills and qualifications:



Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field, or equivalent in work
experience in lieu of degree

Minimum Seven (7) years of design, architecture, development and
production operations of large-scale web systems

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task

Proven ability of architecting disjointed web properties

Previous experience in LAMP environment

Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix including automation via scripting,
performance enhancements, users/permissions and data security

Ability to set up and evaluate platform architecture, including secure
connections, DBs, firewalls, distributed servers, etc

Experience building business applications - internal tools used by
clients to access assets, get training, etc

Ability to improve software release process

Prior experience building and/or maintaining code libraries

Knowledge of web site localization and globalization issues

Complement development as the customer

Ideal candidate will have knowledge of MS advanced architecture
solutions; experience with scrum or other agile methodologies; and
experience with Continuous Integration preferred.



Compensation includes a competitive base salary and potential
incentive based upon performance, company-wide profit sharing plan,
401-k, and full medical/dental/vision benefits provided.
