Sentact has an immediate opening for a Developer, in their Chicago Region, based in Schaumburg, IL. Sentact is a healthcare technology solution utilized for streamlining compliance and workflow management. We are looking for the right person who is able to work as a team player, as well as handle complex projects on his or her own. 

Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance web-based software applications
System architecture and application/database tuning

Requirements:
3+ of experience with PHP5
2+ years of experience with Linux
2+ years of experience with: Javascript, AJAX, CSS, HTML
Basic experience with a relational database (MySQL preferred)
Solid knowledge of OOP (object oriented programming)
Good understanding of standard algorithms
Experience optimizing systems for stability, scalability, and efficiency
Experience building small and large, multi-tiered, web-based applications

Successful Candidates will:
Be familiar with good design (patterns, cohesion/coupling, S.O.L.I.D)
Have experience with Agile engineering practices (TDD, continuous integration, etc.)
Have a good understanding of: AJAX, scalability, performance, unit testing, database indexing, security, and caching
Have experience with a PHP framework (Zend Framework, CakePHP, or Symfony)
Have experience with PHPUnit testing framework
Have some experience in any or all of: Python, Ruby, .NET (these are a plus)
