My client is a leader in the development and marketing of educational
products in the areas of real estate and financial success.  They are
currently seeking a talented PHP Developer for a contract to hire
position in the Chicago area.  This person will interface with multiple
internal resources, including the E-Commerce, Marketing group &
Operations group, ensuring web content is presented in an effective and
consistent manner.

 

Responsibilities:

Technical development, programming, site design, administration,
functionality, security and performance of the organization's web sites
and programs. 

 

Skills & Requirements: 
* BS degree in Computer Science or related field OR comprehensive
related work experience. 
* Minimum of 3 years as a Web developer. 
* 3+ years programming experience in PHP
* 3+ years working with Joomla or similar content management system
* Experience working with database driven websites with the ability to
write SQL for MySQL and/or MSSQL 
* Experience in developing rich media websites. One must be able to
hand-code CSS, JavaScript basics, HTML and have ability to produce
cross-browser compatibility
* Knowledge of and ability to produce AJAX applications a plus
* 3+ years experience working with graphical content 
* Experience designing, creating and maintaining eCommerce sites a plus.
