This is another bugfix release
The methods and functions for calculating ionization cross section were never properly implemented and this has been corrected. The calculation of ionization rate coefficients were performed correctly.
Errors in the calculation of photo-excitation and stimulated emission, pointed out by W. Kerzendorf, have been corrected
I am pleased to announce the release of ChiantiPy version
0.3, a Python interface to the CHIANTI atomic database for
astrophysical spectroscopy. The main new features of this
release are the inclusion of the mspectrum class that make
use of multiple processors on a local computer. This can
greatly speed up calculations of emission spectra. In
addition, there are numerous bug fixes.
Photo-excitation as a population process is added. Also, the two-photon continuum as well as a few bug-fixes
