Hello Brian,

which tags should be filled in automatically? 
Usually there should be a dialog upon saving asking for the tags and they should end up in the file afterwards. I have not seen any issues there.

And can you make me a screenshot of the preferences issue.
I know that Windows has a lot of issues displaying icons correctly on certain systems where the DPI settings are not standard, but I heard, that some Laptops cause trouble.
This is not a problem on Mac OS and on proper Linux systems.
