[Chessx-users] Beeping on keyboard entry of moves in ChessX 1.4.6

I recently upgraded from ChessX 1.4.0 to 1.4.6 (on Mac OS X 10.10.5).
Now whenever I type moves into the Game Text pane, I get a BEEP for
every keystroke. It didn't used to do this. It's very annoying. How can
I turn it off? I tried removing my chessx.ini file before starting
ChessX, but I get the BEEPs even then.
