As of the upcoming version 0.9, I would like to change the handling of translation files.
Currently, we try to put as many (incomplete) translations into the chessx setup, but this makes it difficult to get a consostent setup.
We would require a "string freeze" before making a version and afterwards a very limited time for the translators to get ready, which is not feasible,
as we are all working in our spare time on the project.
So I would like to make a clean installer of the program with the default language and all other language files can be developed
from this setup (which does not change during the translation process).
Whenever a translator finishes a translation, I will put it onto the homepage where the users can download it and put it into the proper location.
We could also think of a language update wizard, which does the update from inside the chessx exe.
But that would probably be a 1.0 feature and is not that urgent.
Does anyone disagree (strongly)?
