#5 Cheops-ng and ubuntu

Hi Folks
Sorry to bother but I cannot seem to get Cheops-NG
working under ubuntu. It appears to be a similar
situation to one of the outstanding support requests
regarding the gnomeConf.sh file.
Under ubuntu linux this is what I am getting:

checking for strtol... yes
checking for strtoul... yes
checking for gnome-config... no
checking for gnomeConf.sh file in /usr/local/lib...
not found
configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file
that is generated by gnome-libs install

I have performed a apt-cache search and installed what
it came up with but still no luck.

Any recommendations etc muchly appreciated.
