I don't think it is: I'm running checkgmail with cookies running and it's working fine. I can mark messages as read and other tasks from the tray icon, but when I click on it it takes me to the gmail front page where I need to enter my password. Any other ideas? I'm on Ubuntu 9.04, firefox 3.0.15, and I have the google taskbar installed. Hi Arek, Best not to use the checkgmail mailing list for feature requests -- it's a very low volume mailing list, and I can't reply to you directly so everyone gets spammed. But I do have a semi-port of checkgmail working under windows. It's not a binary, unfortunately -- I couldn't get PAR to package all the requirements, and after a lot of work just gave up. So you'll need a win32 perl distro with Gtk2-perl (Camelbox works fine), and a few other hacks. But if you're willing to try this, email me directly and I'll send you the source and some instructions as to how to get it going. Nothing fancy, but it works :) Cheers, Owen On Wed, Sep 2, 2009 at 6:05 PM, Announcements regarding CheckGmail < che...@li...> wrote: > Hi, > I love using CheckGmail. Hi, I love using CheckGmail. It is so well designed and executed that it makes my work so much easier. However, I have to work both on Linux and Windows, but I could not find CheckGmail binary for Windows. I've used Gmail Notifier some time ago, but it was so bugged and inferior to CheckGmail that I removed it altogether. Now I want to ask you whether you will create a port of your program for Windows systems? Saying that I would be much obliged is a huge understatement. Regards, Arek Piekarz |

>From reading the FAQ it looks like this is very customisable, but I'm not particularly advanced with my knowledge of linux. Is there a way I could get checkgmail to send an email to another account (e.g. a gmx account) when the notifier is activated by a new email in my gmail account. So it would just send a very short email to my gmx account with the subject "New gmail received" or something along those lines. Thanks. |

Hi, Firstly, please don't use the mailing list for feature requests/bug reports/queries -- this is a very low volume list concerned only with the announcement of new releases; I also can't reply directly to your email using this list, since the sender's email is hidden. But you're more than welcome to email me directly (my email address is listed on the checkgmail homepage), and there's also the sourceforge.net trackers and forums. But in answer to your question, checkgmail already does support multiple accounts, albeit in a rather cumbersome way. Use the -profile switch, and take a look at the FAQ on the home page, or the checkgmail man page, for more details. Hope this helps, Owen On Mon, Sep 22, 2008 at 10:01 AM, Announcements regarding CheckGmail <che...@li...> wrote: > Hello, > > Is there any plans to support multiple gmail accounts? > > Thanks, > > -- > Marcos Sousa > www.marcossousa.com Enjoy it! > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge > Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes > Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world > http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ > _______________________________________________ > Checkgmail-announce mailing list > Che...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/checkgmail-announce > |

I used to have the same problem. I tried to get and install application from subversion. And it worked. You should try this =) 2008/6/24 Announcements regarding CheckGmail < che...@li...>: > Hi, I cannot login in my hosted mail. Yes, finally! This release adds information about attachments and clickable URIs in the message full text (if you install libsexy and Gtk2-sexy - see the homepage for links). Numerous bugs have been fixed, including the issues with XGL/Compiz, international character display and multiple monitors. More information and downloads available from the usual place: http://checkgmail.sf.net Cheers, Owen |

Hey, I have checkgmail installed from the Ubuntu repos (version 1.10) and I noticed that when I have Beryl running, none of the pop-up commands work - like clicking on "Open", "Mark as Read", etc. Is this a Beryl issue? -- http://thecrosstalk.blogspot.com |
