#95 Icon Not Persistant

When gnome-panel is restarted (I can't speak for other panels, since I don't use any), checkgmail keeps running, but the icon disappears. This doesn't happen for other programs.

To reproduce: install checkgmail on gnome, run "killall gnome-panel". "ps -A | grep checkgmail" will show that it is still running, but it will be nowhere to be found.
