#93 Error 500 SSL negotiation failed

I have been running checkgmail on Fedora 11 for several months without any problem. However, today I can't connect to Gmail server with checkgmail. I am getting this error message:
Error 500 SSL negotiation failed:

I don't know what is the cause and how to fix this.

I have tried to run the checkgmail -update command, but then I get the following error:
