I'd like to make a suggestion for your for future
versions of the data base. Many of the biologically
relevant small molecules are relevant because of their
spectral properties. Serving in light harvesting
complexes etc. Their spectral properties are also very
useful when studying their biochemistry either alone or
when bound to protein. Take FAD, FMN and flavodoxins as
an example. Please consider including data on
absorption and emission spectra.

ChEBI is a database of chemical nomenclature. Currently we
do not have means to provide the spectral (or any other
physical property) information which indeed is very
valuable. A good example of a database which contains
spectral data for small molecules is NIST Chemistry WebBook
(see for instance entry for benzene,
http://webbook.nist.gov/cgi/cbook.cgi?ID=71-43-2 ); however,
only few biologically relevant molecules are present there.
