I've recently been reading 'Come Into My Trading Room' by Dr. Elder and I believe the tools he mentions of a Market Thermometer tracking today's max high and max low relative to yesterday's and how he puts his channels parallel to the EMA rather than being forced to use Bollinger Bands would be a great asset to your system.
