Do you remember the version you tried to upgrade from? If it is too old, I think you have to start over.

Hello Paul,
You need to delete cgbase.dat. This is the sqlite db file that causes all the problem.
You will locate it in your home directory, under .config/ChartGeany.
Delete everything in there, and try to run ChartGeany again.

Thanks for the information, I found the files but I didnt think I did anything but now works ok, even downloaded 6.2.2 and works perfectly.
