I'm working on distributed processing support. This is some interesting stuff, and it opens up lots of cool possibilities. The architechture is node/client with an arbitrary number of nodes accessible via XML-RPC, and a centralized client to access them. This allows island populations to exist and develop independent of one another using their own dedicated resources. This release adds an interactive console mode, much improved documentation, a standardized Python distutils-based installation, and lays the groundwork for future enhancements, such as GUI-based configurators and visualizers. The command-line interface still exists and integrates smoothly into the interactive mode.
Charlemange CVS tree imported to Sourceforge.
The initial release of Charlemagne has been made. Version 1.0.0. The website has been updated and includes API documentation, and some UML diagrams.
After years in the planning, the SourceForge Project Page has been created for Charlemagne. I'll be filling in the project page stuff and before long, get a homepage together.
The Charlemagne codebase is undergoing final polishing to make it suitable for a first release. Look for a release soon.
