Charla has a high chance to leave your SN in chat when
you disconnect/quit do to the logoff not always getting off before
socket close. Yahoo changed system, before if user closed socket
yahoo would assume they disconnected and remove name from
chat. But ntaurally that system was illogical to yahoo. Now user
has to send a logoff packet before they leave otherwise even if
socket is closed yahoo assumes user is still in chat til it gets that
packet...So you get booted from isp, or crash or something you're
name will stay in yahoo chat and no one will know the better.
Disconnect/quit will attempt to send the logoff packet to yahoo but
unfortunately cause of sockets design it often closes socket before
that logoff is even sent...dial up users will amost never get it off
broadband users will probably be 50/50. For now best thing to do is
type /logoff yourself watch your name leave room then quit charla.
Don't use logoff if you are planning to reconnect before quitting.
It'll trigger the socket freeze bug. :\
