->>I coded in Wolfenstine:Enemy Territory map loading (in C), and 4 mill entitiy netcode support (C).
->How do I know you aren't just some imposter?

-Here is your edit: Yes ChaosEsque supports Wolfenstine:Enemy Territory maps and 4 million entity netcode (an idea from FTE)
+Yes ChaosEsque supports Wolfenstine:Enemy Territory maps and 4 million entity netcode (an idea from FTE)
It is much desired, by the Team, that further map support be added at some time; naturally as an opensource project this is done by those interested in said map formats. Here some of our contributors decided that it would be beneficial that Wolfenstine:Enemy Territory maps be loadable in ChaosEsque Anthology: this required editing of the engine. The contributors thence set out to accomplish the task and forthwith did as such. Likewise, contributors who were interested in procedrual generation of maps (cities, forests, etc) found the old 32k entity limit as troublesome: and thus these contributors took it upon themselves to investigate FTE Quake's 4 million entity net code. Once understanding the algorithim used; these contributors then traced the execution of the Darkplaces engine (with print statements). Once understanding as such they set about to port the encoding algorithim to Darkplaces. This was indeed accomplished in such a way that is backwards compatible with existing Darkplaces clients up to 16k if the feature is set to be enabled (by default the standard DP7 netcode is used: maps that need more can perhaps set the value regarding the extended netcode in the mapinfo file) (protocol_masquerading), or as an alternative as a seperate netcode protocol (LP7)
