Relation to "trackchanges" p...

There appears to be an independently developed package at https://sourceforge.net/projects/trackchanges/ with the same aims as "changes". What are the relative strengths and weaknesses of these two packages?

I just looked at the trackchanges package, I did not know the package before, thus my (quick) two cents:

• trackchanges has a GUI, changes has a script

• editors (authors) have an id, name and color in changes only an id in trackchanges

• changes is available on CTAN, i.e. in most distributions

• trackchanges has other options for markup/layout of change formatting
