I used to run version 2.5.1 under Panther, and as you know it didn't
really work in Tiger. What happened for me was that when I tried to
launch the application it crashed and the usual dialog came up. Upon
trying again it crashed and the next dialog came up asking to create
new preferences, try again? This time it opened, blank of course,
and i could pick pictures, set my preferences, minus the menu extra
and start the server, and every thing would be fine until I had to
reboot and everything would start all over again. I then became
aware, by visiting this site, that an update was available. I kept
wondering why an update wasn't coming on Versiontracker or any
other place and it took me here where I found out that there was an
update. I installed it and the same things happened again, exept that
this the menu extra worked, and probably was responsible for
starting the server at login. Then due to other reasons I had to clone
my system back from a backup and I installed a completely fresh
copy of ChangeDesktop 2.5.2.1, and now it won't launch at all, the
dialogboxes keep popping up.
I have my system on two partitions on the primary harddisk in my
17" iMac G4 1 ghz., one with the system and the Apple applications
and those other that has to be installed here, the other with all other
applications, including Change Desktop and my home libary folder. I
have never found that something didn't work with this set-up. At the
end is a fresh crashlog from my latest attempt
In hope that the problem willbe solved and regards
