Limited number of Subfolders?

I have a folder with around 140 folders in it, and each of them as
at least one folder with a number of pictures in it. Now I saw that
CD loads only around 5000 of them, if I add the 140 folders
directly into CD it´s no prob. It loads about 70.000pics(!), there
are no errors in the console.
So the only prob. I can think of is the number of subfolders but it
loads the first few folders without a problem, it´s really weird.

Are there any folder aliases? If so, sub-folders in the alias will not be
searched.

Nope, no aliases. Just a lot of normal folders.

I'm running 10.4.3 and the second part of this is not true for me. I have 14,500
images and only 1,662 load. I tried loading all subfolders separately, but still
only 1,662 images load.

This is the same person who posted on 12-11. I've done some more testing and
come to the conclusion that metalsnake is right. What I had missed the first time
around was that my changes to the search locations for CD weren't being
applied because I hadn't "saved" them — which is totally illogical, by the way.
Changes should be saved automatically. Furthermore, it seems to be that the
max number of subfolders is 101. I concentrated on a single folder that was
giving me problems and dumped the file cache. I noticed that the subfolder
numbers only went up to 102, with the 102nd folder a CD private-use folder,
unrelated to my photos. After the 101st folder CD found in the folder structure,
it stopped searching for more files.
