cgkit would be used much more if it would be possible to install it via:
sudo pip install cgkit

Question:
What is needed to make this possible?

Good question, I thought it was possible already…? So obviously, it's not enough to upload it to PyPI? (I'm not using pip myself)

I need to take a closer look if I find some time. I thought I looked into that during the last release (as someone else asked for this before), I don't remember what the problems were.
I guess if I have to upload a source archive, then it might be problematic because of the C++ support library which is not built via the setup script.
