Hi =20 I installed CGI-IRC and have an odd problem with it.. I can log into my server and see everyone there and what they type but I = can't type or use any of the features (help/options/whois) once in a while I can type a few words when I first join but then it = stops again.. I type the words and nothing gets to the channel. Here is what I have tried >=20 used the default socket prefix /tmp/cgiirc- at first and had this = problem Wanted to make sure it was working so then I created a new path for the = tmp socket files so that I could see if they are being created as I log = in and I did change the path to point to it in config.cgi and = client-perl.cgi checked and the socket files were being created there = ok.. Next I tried going from ver 0.5.4 to ver 0.5.5perl same thing happens = checked all my file and dir attribs and they are set ok once in a while I will get a screen pop up that says "about blank" and = I added the interface=3Dnonjs extention to see what error would come up = and I get a "An error occured: Communication socket already exists" but = checking the tmp socket dir there are no files there when I get that = error. My host informed me that there shouldn't be a problem from their end = using CGI-IRC Had a few others try it and they get the same problem they can't type to = the channel either. Any thoughts or ideas that might help? |
