[cgiirc-general] Non-persistant connections

I remember reading on one of the 'planned features' pages that in the 
future cgi:irc would support browsers where persistant connections could 
not be maintained.  I have this problem at work - the proxy servers kill 
our connection after about 15 minutes.

I have not seen any further mention of this, and am hoping it has not 
dropped off the radar as a needed feature.  Are there still any plans 
for supporting this?
