cfMesh is an open-source library for volume mesh generation based on OpenFOAM. It implements various meshing workflows for volume mesh generation needed for CFD simulations with OpenFOAM.
It is already a part of foam-extend, OpenFOAM for Windows, Caelus and OpenFOAM+ released by ESI.
This repository is intended for contribution and collaborative development.
If you have a new meshing algorithm or interested in contributing to cfMesh, do not hesitate to contact us.
Please note that this code is not the same as CF-MESH+, which is a commercial product offered by Creative Fields Holding.

Easy to use and excellent mesh. Thanks for this work.

I found cfMesh recently after installing FreeCAD and OpenFOAM together, and was pleased to try this meshing package. I found it simple to use, but also powerful in the way it improves meshing in both speed and quality. Thank you for this contribution.

Easy to use very high quality mesh generation.

I have found “cfMesh” as one of the best, if not the best, opensource meshing tool. It is very easy to learn and it can be utilized to generate large meshes within short span of time. I have used “cfMesh” for preparing meshes for airfoil and straight-bladed vertical-axis wind turbine (SB-VAWT). It should noted that preparing a mesh for SB-VAWT is quite challenging and I was unable to do it using the well-known snappyHexMesh. We have prepared a good quality mesh using “cfMesh” at FREE OF COST! The recently developed boundary layer smoother is an excellent addition. I would like to thank and congratulate Dr. Franjo Juratic for his superb accomplishments with this novel piece of meshing tool. Mazharul Islam, PhD University of Calgary, Canada
