Cewolf 1.1.5 not interpreting EL correctly?

  • Ninel Karamaneva

I have the following chart definition in my JSP:

    <cewolf:chart id="peerChart" title="<c:out value='${lookupKey}'/>" type="verticalBar" showlegend="false" xtickmarksvisible="false" xticklabelsvisible="false">

When the JSP is compiled, the title of the chart is displayed literally as "<c:out value='${lookupKey}'/>". The same behaviour is observed when adding a <c:out> statement to the value of a producer param tag.

What am I doing wrong? Is cewolf only compatible with certain versions of JSTL? If so, which ones?

    Thanks in advance.

    maybe try title="${lookupKey}"

I did, but that produced the same results. I'm using JSTL 1.0. Should I try to upgrade to 1.1?

OK, I upgraded to JSTL 1.1 and now ${lookupKey} (without the "c:out") works in all the cewolf tags! Awesome! I thought I was going to have to use nasty scriptlets or something.. :)
