I could fix the bugs by applying the patches that come in, but I keep
hearing that 1.7.0 is to ship without the GTK interface, but with the Qt
interface by default.
While I'd like to see the GTK front-end continue, it would really need
to get moved to GTK3 to have any future. Last I checked, gtkglext hadn't
been ported yet, making it impossible.

These patches were posted 8 (eight!) months before 1.6.1. While i18n
patch is not so important, another one that fixes nasty bug with
options dialog is been expected to be applied in 'bugfix' release.
