Hi, There have been several requests lately for ways to do Java projects that aren't Android. So far the answer has been a bit of a hack with the ede/cpp-root project type. I replicated that into ede/java-root, and removed the C++ stuff, and added in some Java tricks instead. I've given this a brief try on a fake project to prove the basic file finding features work to myself. For those on this list who have made a hybrid with the ede-cpp-root project, I would greatly appreciate it if you could give this a try to see if it helps with the ambiguities of the classpath setting, and finding other java files in your project. Just place the attachment into lisp/cedet/ede/ in your copy of a recent checkout from bzr, and force load it in your .emacs file: (require 'ede/java-root) and follow the basic directions in the comments. Some todos and questions for this project type I need help with: * Is it useful in a real project? * test the :classpath slot functionality. Doc it. * Is a single "srcroot" slot sufficient to cover all projects? * Are there other target types needed common in java repositories? (resources, xml, etc...) I don't do much Java development, even on Android anymore, so any help here would be appreciated. Thanks Eric |
