CECID (the CEnsorship CIrcumvention Device) is a PHP script that allows people to access pages anonymously that have been blocked by firewalls at work, school, or anywhere that restricts or monitors internet access. After a long beta period, CECID-PHP version 1.00 stable has been released, which adds an enormous amount of bugfixes and feature enhancements.
The project has advanced significantly since its last news posting (over 248 days ago! :), with decent banned word filtering (many, many bugs have been fixed), image support, proper link obfuscating (again more bugfixes), a much nicer user interface as well as a few other new privacy management features. CECID is the CEnsorship Circumvention Device, a php script designed to anonymize http requests
and allow users behind restrictive firewalls to access blocked sites. Users enter a URL to
access, and CECID will download it and edit it on the fly to get it past content-filtering
