#1 mysql connection error

Hello,
I configured the DB access cause I would like to
install wordpress on cdsagenda.sf.net!
Everything seems correctly installed,
but I'am not able to connect to the database
(both using wordpress scripts and using the
mysql command from the ssh command line).
The parameters seems ok:

dbname: cdsagenda
host: mysql.sourceforge.net
username: cdsagenda
password: ############
(I payed attantion to the correct insert and use of the
password
to access with mysql client software)
The status of the DB configuration is Active, so I
waited enought
to have the password correctly set for the user cdsagenda!
what is my mistake?
