#14 buffer under runs

I have a sony crx-140(8x4x32), and I was tried to copy
on the fly a cd whith a reader that supports more of 8x
reading, and I pass to cdrdao --buffers 384.
In windows I can copy on the fly audio cd's but in
Linux (kernel 2.4.3-xfs patch) there are impossible.
When I copy no other processes are runing, and the
buffer diminishes to 0%
What are the cause, CDRDAO or Linux cdrom drivers?
My reader are a ide-atapi.
Thanks

    Hi Anonymous :)

First of all, you should tell us what configuration do you
have, this is, if the reader and the writer are in the same
    disk controller.

Also, take into account that cdrdao be default uses paranoia
mode 3 when reading audio, and this slows things down. Try
paranoia 2 or 1 (warning: 0 means no error checking!).

    AMD K6-2 300MHz
    128 MB RAM
The reader are in the first ide channel (slave) & the
recorder are the master of the second ide channel.
    paranoia mode are 0:
Some times the cd was copied with buffer 0%
    cdrdao copy -n --buffers 256 --fast-toc --source-device
    0,0,0 --device 0,1,0 --source-driver generic-mmc
    --paranoia-mode 0 --on-the-fly
I was tried in my computer (sony crx140E) and in other
computer with LG DVD reader an Acer recorder in a ramdisk
(no using HD for any) and pass the same, in the over the 5
track buffer are 0% and some times cd are copied.

Another think, when i try to copy a cd with CD-TEXT (using
recorder as a reader) cdrdao(1.1.5) shows an error after
    power calibration.
    Thanks
    Gracies.
