Thanks for the reply Andreas!
I wish I could send you a drive to play with but the one I bought myself
already cost too much (and is already out of date!). I realise it would be
very hard (or even impossible) for you to support dvd without the hardware
but if it was possible to build upon the cdrecord hack I would be more than
willing to test for you.
