Hello. I think cdrdao should have an option such as "--
image" to read a CD and create an exact mirror image
of the CD as a file, but this function should *not*
involve writing a CD.

I successfully made a VCD from a an VideoCD image/cue
file using cdrdao, but I cannot do the vice-versa of
this process. The only utility that I know of that
just creates an image of a CD is mkisofs, but this is
not at all sufficient for VCD and possibly other
specially formated CD's such as Playstation games. I
think cdrdao should have the same image creation
functionality as 'CloneCD' on Windows.

Keep up the good work!

It is already possible to create CD images with cdrdao. Just use

    cdrdao read-cd ...

The resulting toc-file can be converted to a .cue with the 'toc2cue'
    utility.
