I am trying to backup my playstation games with my yamaha crw8424 (scsi-3).  I get the following error:
"Cannot read CD-TEXT data - maybe not supported by drive." .

If I then try to burn the image I get the error
    "ERROR: nhl.cue:1: Illegal token: C
nhl.cue:1: syntax error at "EOF" missing TrackDef"

Is the yamaha 8424 capable of backing these discs up?  I have a day or two to return the drive for a yamaha 8824 (scsi-3), which can read  cd-text.  Do I need this feature? or any of the other features that the 8824 offers over the 8424? (I  know it can burn cd-rw's faster, but I don't use cdrw's).

ps-I was able to back up these same cd's with my old ide burner.

    Thanks.

The toc-file was probably named with a ".cue" extension which directs the parser to read a CDRwin cue sheet. Cdrdao itself will just write toc-file syntax. So, always name toc-files with a ".toc" extension.
