Just a heads up that something has changed with the 10.10.4 beta that results in cDock not working. I've completely uninstalled and re-installed just in case but to no avail.

10.10.4 (14E26a) Added an option to the Sys Pref file. You can now select dark for dock, but it also black backgrounds the menu bar. You won't find this as a Dock option; look under General.
Could be that this overrides the capability of cDock, because the color sidebar is also disabled. Some features still work.
Have not tried a suggestion I read here, a different thread:
This product is supposed to perform dock options; don't know about sidebar options. http://spyresoft.com/dockmod/

Yup cDock uses EasySIMBL to apply dock themes and coloredfindersidebar.
Currently EasySIMBL doesn't work on 10.10.4 see Issue #25. Whenever that gets fixed I'll update cDock. Until then it looks like there is a workaround posted in that discussion to move EasySIMBL.osax to /Library/ScriptingAdditions.

Tried the above and it had no effect. After a reboot the file reappears in the orginal folder. Do you have step by step instructions? Maybe I missed something.
I simply did a "mv" (as su) from source to target folder:
Thank you Wolfgang, this worked (altho' for some reason I had to manually copy ColorfulSidebar bundle over to the plugins directory) after running the commands. Script is now in login items.
What a relief! I work off two 30" Cinema displays (5 feet of display) and need that shelf to be transparent with just the dock icons showing. Once I ran the script presto the dock background color disappeared.

Any chance to suggest something similar for OS X 10.9.5? I tried the steps, but I only got the colour icons in Finder working, Dock refuses to load my custom settings
Thanks!

My guess is you missed the step that Wolfgang says to save the script as an 'app' not a script. If it's an app it just runs, if you saved it as a script then that's why the script editor opens up. Go back and reread the cut/paste/run/save/add part.
Once I did the step exactly as Wolfgand posted, CDock works perfectly again!

Yes, that was exactly what I did. Frankly, because I know so little about the OS X Script Editor. Once I had copied/pasted/saved the script, the File>Save... menu item changed to merely File>Save, and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to make the script into an app. Once I redid the process, found the Application file format in the Save... commmand, and saved THAT resulting file to the login items, everything now works perfectly. Thanks for the heads up to the OS X newbie.

The workaround worked perfectly! I followed every step, thanks for being so clear. Added the app to my startup, rebooted and dear CDock now works again and I can identify with my dear MAC!

Same here. Latest beta and stopped working (reinstalling does not help).
cDock 7.4 doesn't work with the public release of OS X 10.10.4, either.
Same here
Here too. :-(
No luck with 14E26a on my end either. :(

Workaround worked for me. Thanks. I have to rerun the script each time I make a configuration change in cDock, but that's a small price to pay.
