This is really good news! We soon should be able to set up more than on Git repository on SourceForge! Cheers to SourceForge! Egon ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: SourceForge.net Team <no...@so...> Date: Wed, Aug 12, 2009 at 7:57 PM Subject: Mercurial and Git Downtime for Multiple Repository Support To: ego...@gm... Greetings, As previously announced, there will be a short downtime for all Mercurial repositories tomorrow, followed by a modification to the URLs used for repository access. This is to allow for upgrades to support multiple Mercurial repositories per project. The original announcement with additional details can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/apps/wordpress/sourceforge/2009/08/05/mercurial-multiple-repository-support/ Additionally, a similar conversion with similar downtime and impact will also be had for Git to support multiple Git repositories per project. This conversion is scheduled to occur on 2009-08-13. We'll take action to minimize downtime and impact to users, but with a new path scheme it is inevitable that most old URLs won't work as previously described in the Mercurial migration notes linked above. Direct repository editing is now enabled over the shell service for all Git, Hg and Bzr repositories. This change was made live today and deprecates the adminrepo tool for users of those repository types. Users of CVS or SVN will still need to use adminrepo. This will allow for easier editing of repositories. We strongly recommend that when modifying a repository other committers be notified of the direct edit window and that you make your own backups prior to editing the content so you can restore it readily yourself in the case of an accident.
