For mp3 encoding CDDA Ripper XP uses the LAME MP3 encoder. This encoder is slower than the Xing fast encoder but it produces mp3s with much higher quality. If CDDA Ripper XP is slower than other software that it also uses the LAME encoder please contact me again!
