I have made a full backup with:

cdbkup 0 -e /tmp -e /proc -e /files -e /root/.backup -
e /mnt -b -s 4 0,0,0 /

and after mounting the cd-rw media i saw:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 396974080 Jul 24 12:18
myhost.mydomain.priv -2002-07-24-0.tar.gz

after a little time, and after manualy adding known
changed files to my filesystem, I do an incremntal
backup with:

cdbkup 1 -e /tmp -e /proc -e /files -e /root/.backup -
e /mnt -a -s 4 0,0,0 /

Data was appended to cd-rw.
I ejected the cd-rw and reloaded it and i saw:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 396974080 Jul 24 12:18
myhost.mydomain.priv -2002-07-24-0.tar.gz

I can't see the sessiona appended.
I repeated another data change and another incremental
backup with:
cdbkup 1 -e /tmp -e /proc -e /files -e /root/.backup -
e /mnt -a -s 4 0,0,0 /

Data was appended to cd-rw.
I ejected the cd-rw and reloaded it and i saw:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 396974080 Jul 24 12:18
fire.marzottospa.com-2002-07-24-0.tar.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 20776960 Jul 24 14:18
fire.marzottospa.com-2002-07-24-1.tar.gz

I can only see the first and second backup session. Not
the last one.

What about that ?

I have similar problems, but mine get resolved by having the
CD eject and load itself. Hitting the button on the CD
drive to eject and load don't always work for me.

    You can do this by:
    cdrecord -eject dev=0,0,0 and then
    cdrecord -load dev=0,0,0
