#148 error importing cdms

I just performed the three stage install, with the only
package failing to install being ComparisonStatistics.
When attempting to run the test suite, I get the error
message:

ImportError:
/home/baum/CDAT/lib/python2.3/site-packages/cdms/Cdunif.so:
undefined symbol: __out_of_range__FPCc

The compiler version, kernel and system I'm using are:

g77 version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-110)
2.4.18-3smp
