#3 Scrollable terminal viewing
I need to use a larger font than I can fit in my terminal (currently a cygwin window), to be able to see it clearly. My enlargment software (which is commercial) crashes several times a day, and is a real pain to configure. What I would really like is a telnet client which supports colour, and which will scroll a large virtual screen so that the current region of interest is visible in its window. I would suggest that this be determined by the location of the text cursor or the mouse, whichever was moved last. Thus if I don't want to move my text cursor I can move the mouse to the edge of the window and have contents scroll into view, otherwise the window tracks my mouse.
Cam's Notes:
So, when you scroll the viewable area of the screen using the mouse, the window stops tracking the cursor. This would allow you to view one part of the screen while typing - without having the screen pop back down to where the cursor is.
One problem is this starts to interact with the scrollback.
