Sorry for my very late response on this issue. I have now compiled
ccplot and its dependencies (basemap) to run natively on Windows, so
that there is no need to use the Windows Subsystem for Linux, and the
ccplot API also becomes available in the local Anaconda distribution
installed for Windows. I have tested this on Windows 10 with Anaconda
Python 3.8. The instructions are on the ccplot website
(https://ccplot.org/download/) under the section "Windows (native)".
Please let me know if you still any problems with the installation.
