Our cruise control host is behind Apache SSL with a self-signed cert. When trying to add the project to CCMenu it fails with:

"Could not connect to server. Failed to get status from [https://our.host/cruisecontrol/xml]: bad server certificate"

It would be great if there was a dialog allowing the user to accept temporarily, accept permanently, or reject the certificate.

As a work-around, can you not import your own root certificate into keychain? You might want to do that anyway to avoid warnings in all sorts of places.

This feature might sound trivial but it very important for larger companies that are trying to keep credentials secure. There should we a way to allow a self-signed servers or just have a preference that ignores security warnings.

I understand the need to connect to servers with self-signed certs. However, as far as I understand, the only way to do this from CCMenu is for CCMenu to interact with Keychain and push the cert into it. This seems fairly involved to develop.

Wouldn't it be possible to manually add either the cert or the CA cert into Keychain? Or, in other words, is this feature request a request for convenience, or is there no workaround?
