How to reproduce:

  • Make sure some projects are configured
  • Focus an other app (preferably have a bunch of apps open)
  • Kill the connection between your computer and the project host
  • Wait until CCMenu will try to poll the project host

What happens is that CCMenu will open a "pop-up". This pop-up can be very hard to reach, or even invisible to the user. (You can confirm it exist by Opening CCmenu again)

The behaviour of the app is now that all projects are "grey", and it remains so.

I suggest that any error is notified via GROWL or Notification centre instead of a pop-up.

Which version of CCMenu are you using? I'm asking because in older versions CCMenu reported connection problems with alerts. Now, it should just ignore them. In either case, can you please include a screenshot of the panel in question?

This is not exactly the screen I was describing (I haven't had it happen anymore), But this one has the same effect.

Can you please confirm which version of CCMenu you are using? (Only very old versions of CCMenu reported such errors with an alert panel.) If you still see the error, please open a new issue over at Github: https://github.com/erikdoe/ccmenu/issues
