Really? I thought it was rock solid. What specific protectedWTV file fails?

I agree, except for the segfault :-) We cannot make a 0.70 release
that is known to crash with something. In what part of the code does
it crash?

As soon as that's solved (if it cannot be solved let's do something
from elegant than crashing, at least) we'll do a source-only 0.70
release.
