As you're using a 2.6 kernel I suggest you try my patches for cbm4linux 
and linux 2.6. They're available here:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=45917&atid=444478

They then use the generic parport modules from linux, so you should have 
parport and parport_pc as kernel modules too.
