Hiya Ive built myself a Y cable with 2 x DB25s and 1 x DB15.... soldered in th= e parallel port into a 1541-II and cut pin 1 on VIA #1...... plugged everyt= hing in along with my trusty XM1541 (been using it for years) and I get: [simon@desk001 other_assorted_disks]$ d64copy -v -v -v -t p -r 4 8 hunchback_hattrick.d64 [Debug] transfer mode is 3 [Info] Trying to identify drive type [Info] drive 08 (1541): 00, OK,00,00 [Info] copying tracks 1-35 (683 sectors) and then it just hangs...... however it works in serial mode.. Ive double checked the parallel port in the 1541 carefully, and Ive just tested the parallel portion of the cable with a multimeter (assuming that= the other bit works since serial is still working), and its all perfect. I have tried ECP and ECP/ECC mode for the parallel port, with no effect. Can anyone think of anything I can try to get this working? Thanks ps. Im running: Linux version 2.6.8.1-10mdk (np...@n3...) (gcc version 3.= 4.1 (Mandrakelinux (Alpha 3.4.1-3mdk)) #1 Wed Sep 8 17:00:52 CEST 2004 if that makes a difference..... -- =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Simon Scott si...@pl... mob: 0409113359 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D |
