Thanks I am working on the KIO slave(I hope to post it here soon). because the drive spins I first tried to insmod the cbm module but that wasn't such a good idea, it looks like once the module has been initialised once it won't redectect the cable type so rmmod cbm and insmod cbm doen't do the job.
