The following CHPWH information needs to be reported in the CF1RPRF01E.xml for downstream compliance documents.
This information should be reported in Section_Tchp of the CF1RPRF01E.xml:
Location of information in AnalysisResults.xml: DHWSys:CHPWHTankLoc;
Primary Tank Total Insulation
Location of information in AnalysisResults.xml: DHWSys: CHPWHTankRVal;
Loop Tank Location
Location of information in AnalysisResults.xml: DHWSys:CHPWHLoopTankLoc;
Loop Tank Total Insulation
Location of information in AnalysisResults.xml: DHWSys:CHPWHLoopTankRVal;
Loop Pipe Insulation Thickness
Diff:
I have already added these fields to the downstream CF2R-PLB-01b schema. Assuming the fields should be added at the end of the Tch table here are the fields. If they need to be in a different order, let me know.
Field Text Schema element
Primary Tank Location Tchp08_TankLocation
Primary Tank Total Insulation Tchp09_PrimaryTankTotalInsulation
Loop Tank Location Tchp10_LoopTankLocation
Loop Tank Total Insulation Tchp11_LoopTankTotalInsulation
Loop Pipe Insulation Thickness Tchp11_PipeInsulationThickness
Two questions.
Do they need NA choice? The downstream CF2R-PLB-01b they have a choice with NA.
Are there any of these fields that should not be reported in the pdf?
Diff:
Attached is zip containing Word documents showing potential fixes to the schema to achieve the desired reporting for central DHW, and another for central HPWH. If you're visual they walk through of the CBECC screens to get to the desired outcome (it helped me). Another Word doc is a mock up of the CF1R. If you need, there are RIBD19 files, CF1R-BEES.XML, and CF1Rs in current form (file names are in the Word docs).
I've looked through the attachments for the new fields and tables and the different use cases that use them and I have a few questions for now. I'll probably have more as I get into it, but wanted confirmation on my understanding of the 3 tables:
WATER HEATERS - CHPWH table and CHPWH – LOOP TANK table should both be in the existing Tchp section.
RECIRCULATION LOOPS table could apply to more than CHPWH, so it needs to be in a new section that could be used with either section T WATER HEATERS or with section Tchp WATER HEATERS - CHPWH
WATER HEATERS - CHPWH table and CHPWH – LOOP TANK table should both be in the existing Tchp section: That sounds right. The loop tank is an option only for CHPWHs. It could be none, but if it is there it is a CHPWH component.
RECIRCULATION LOOPS table could apply to either central DHW or CHPWH. Yes, it is a new section used with either section T WATER HEATERS or with section Tchp WATER HEATERS - CHPWH.
Thanks for confirming my understanding. In the WATER HEATERS - CHPWH table and CHPWH – LOOP TANK table I need to know all the possible values are for the new last field Air Source. In your examples I see these values for it: Conditioned, Outside, n/a
Are there other values that I should add?
Another similar question for 04 Recirculation Loop Location in the new RECIRCULATION LOOPS table - I need to know all the possible values are for this field . We have several SDD properties that cover water heating that might apply:
WaterHeaterPipeLocation property has these 4 values
Conditioned Space,
Semi-conditioned Space,
Unconditioned Space,
Underground or Buried in or Under Slab
TankLocation has these 5 values which are a little different:
Conditioned
Unconditioned
Garage
Outside
Tank Zone
Are any of these values appropriate for Recirculation Loop Location?
Would there be other values for Recirculation Loop Location that are not in either of these properties?
Last edit: Diane Pepetone 2020-08-06
Recirculation Loops possibilities are only:
Conditioned Space,
Semi-conditioned Space,
Unconditioned Space,
Underground
Tank Location or Loop Tank Location (plus each has Source Air From) has two selection boxes:
Outside or
Zone,
If Zone selection it can be a zone type of:
Conditioned (or whatever user named it)
Garage
Attic
Crawl Space
Hope that is all clear.
Yes, that's very helpful. I just have a couple questions abount the Count in the Loop tank table:
From the mockup document TableCentralHPWHLoopTank:
03_Count or HPWH Count>/ [Heater count]
Is the count of loop tanks or water heaters?
04_Tank Volume/Count>/
Is Count the same data as in 03_Count? If not what is the count of?
Thanks
No, they are not the same (sorry, but I forgot I could hover and get these values).
03 is CHPWHNumComp
04 CHPWHTotTankVol (only reported when HPWHSysDescrip = Large single Pass Primary (which is not reported)
05 is CHPWHTankCount (also only for Large single Pass Primary
Still not sure on one thing from your last comment:
03 is CHPWHNumComp
I now understand it isn't the same as 05 tank count. But what does "NumComp" stand for? is it number of compressors? Or something else?
Thanks
I just committed updated ResHvac and CF1RPRF schemas to SourceForge with the 1241 table changes and new tables for CHPWH sections and reassigned to Scott for implementing in the XML generation.
r1914: Update of CAR13 BEMBase.txt, BEMBase_19-1-2.txt, and CF1RPRF01E_Master.rule:
Pending requested mods to CF1RPRF01E.xsd and update to report processing to complete ticket.
r1918: CF1RPRF XSD update now matches output rules.
Report processing revisions may be necessary to update to latest XSD and rules.
@dianepepetone - There are two tables in Tchp that should display the table title. Currently, the only title that can be retreived from the schema that for Water Heaters-CHPWH. The TableLoopTank also needs FieldText for displaying the title for this table: CHPWH – LOOP TANK
I just posted an updated CF1RPRF.XSD schema to SF with the TableLoopTank title added
All mods completed and tested. Ready to verify
Last thing was to add the model number for small integrated to the brand (I messed up and forgot to include in the text version of the CF1R mock-up). Even the "Tank zone" was changed to reflect the zon name so I am very happy.
