#7 JMX Relation Service for config references
We could make all configuration references manageable
through JMX (strongly-typed even), by supporting JMX
relation defined references.
Essentially, we build a new JMX relationship "role"
that defines a Carbon reference. Then the JMX
subsystem would be able to offer the possible
relations as options for the value. Most JMX consoles
will support this type of relating. In this way, for
example, a person could possibly select from a drop-
down, the scheduable component that they wish to
configure for a new scheduler service.
A few details would need to be worked out, such as
how to make the role types either dynamic per
configuration implementation (or per component
referenced), as well as how to deal with the
lifecycle implications of an altered relation.
