* Had a folderviewer configured to sort files in chronological order (earliest first),
and then you want to change to sorting with most recent first, you'd do this:
* 'Edit folder',
* 'Choose which files', and select 'most recent first',
* click 'Next', and then select to show, for example, all the files since May 1, 2000,
* click 'Finish'.
You would think that the list would now display in reverse chronological order. But it doesn't.
You need to go to "Edit Files -- refine list" and explicitly reverse sort by date first.
It would be nice if you had to explicitly turn on that custom-sorting feature ('refine list') before it would go into efect. So that changing the configuration of the folderviewer would automatically re-sort the files for you without needing to know that you have to explicitly re-sort the files before your folderviewer changes will take effect.
