-Welcome to your wiki!
+*CameraShutterTimer*

-This is the default page, edit it as you see fit. To add a new page simply reference it within brackets, e.g.: [SamplePage].
+This project consists of an hardware intervalometer for Nikon cameras. It aims to cover to main shortcomings of these cameras:

-The wiki uses [Markdown](/p/camerashuttertimer/wiki/markdown_syntax/) syntax.
+ * Provides remote control functionality, usually found as an extra accessory available in the market at a cost;
+ * Provides intervalometer capability, usually unavailable in the lower end DSLRs such as the D3x00, and with limited functionality in the mid-low range D5x00. Normally it is limited to 999 frames in these cameras;
+ * With the camera in bulb mode enables long yet automatically triggered exposures (up to 1 hour);
+
+It interfaces the camera the same way as an ML-L3 infrared remote control
+but instead of having the single functionality of triggering the camera
+upon the press of the button, it also provides timed shooting for timelapse
+photography.
+
+This source code is accompanied with an application schematic diagram to
+help in the construction of a complete unit using the PIC12F683 microcontroller
+and this firmware.
+
+The diagram below shows the pin mappings of the microntroller to this concrete
+application:
